This is a great photo, a very dramatic shot, which by the sounds of it you were going for.
For me, the right side of the photograph is maybe just a little too dark and consequently lacks detail, particularly around the eyes, but I'm happy to admit that is just personal taste.

Thanks for your comment, I definitely agree, the right side of the face fell a bit to much into darkness, definitely something to look out for next time.
I did not know my blog commenting feature was acting up, so thanks a lot for pointing that out, I'll look in to it.
Funny thing is, I liked it because of the sharp contrast. Gave off a phantom of the opera type of vibe. Like steve said, matter of taste. Great job. Pardon my ignorance but you gave out a detailed explanation regarding lighting but no info on settings and of camera and lens used. Peace
