I just purchased a EOS Rebel t1i 500d. I am a beginner with this camera. I mostly take nature shots. I would like to purchase a zoom lens for the up close shots of animals etc. but not sure what type is the best or what type specs that I should look for. I have found a zoom lens Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III Telephoto Zoom Lens. But it doesn't have image stability. Should i just skip the cheap zoom lens to practice with and go straight for the 500 dollar professional zoom??
