Canon Lens
I have purchased a 50mm lens for my Canon T2i. Will this lens be good for taking bridal portraits?

The T2i has a sub-frame sensor. Using a 50mm lens will give you the equivalent of an 80mm lens. That may not be the best focal length for taking formal portraits. That being said, I own a Canon 50mm /f1.8 and find it to be a great lens, especially for the price. I have taken some great shots with it. I would suggest practicing with the lens to see if you can get the look you want with it.

I would recommend Canon EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM UD Wide Angle Zoom Lens for your Canon T2i. It has wider view at 15mm (vs 15mm on the kit lens), and more telephoto reach at the long end (85mm vs 55mm on the kit lens). Pittsburgh PA Photography
