My camera takes terrible indoor pictures even with a flash. I have a Canon powershot S5IS. Does anyone have a good/inexpensive suggestion? It has a pop-up flash. Takes wonderful outdoor photos but I was asked to take some indoor photos for an upcoming event.

There\’s an accessory that fits in front of pop-up flash units that diffuses their harsh, direct light. Check the internet or your local camera store or Popular Photography magazine.
