Camera Ratings
We mark each member by a color coded camera level based on their activity on the site. Below is a breakdown of the camera levels:

| Green | 250-499 |
| Magenta | 500-999 |
| Purple | 1000-1999 |
| Blue | 2000-4999 |

| Black | 10000+ |
Can old photos be damaged by certain scanners?
I have many old family photos, from 1910 to 1940′s, many form central/northern Europe. Are there certain scanners (r scanner settings) that might damage the photos (say, by the slight heat generated by the scanning light)?

Current models use LEDs which in turn dont produce very much heat. This does no harm to the pictures.
Automatic feeders are the real danger!
If you have the negatives too, you\’d might consider scanning those too.
