I have to make some corrections to my last answer. Please ignore the typos, I was trying to type too fast. The information on the sunny sixteen rule is still valid, but my explanation needs some revision. I said that when you open your lens one stop, you must must slow your speed by one half. That is not valid. It should read that you should double your speed. F/16@1/400thof a second is equal to F/11 at 1/800th of a second.

It makes no difference what your ISO is as long as you use the sunny sixteen rule. Use your ISO as your shutter speed an F/16. For instance, 400th of a second at F/16. You can adjust your settingsi as you seeas you see fit. Always remember that what you do to one you must do the opposite to the other. F/16@400th of a second is equal to F/11@200th of a second. etc. When you oopen your lens up one stop, you must slow your speed by one-half. The smaller the F-number, the te more light enters the lens, and the smaller the speed number, the slower the shutter speed. This works well in most situations, however there are cases when you have to make adjustments.(too much backlight, etc.). Clear as mud??? I hope it helps
